Summer Camp 2018

Miami Beach Rowing Club Fundamentals of Sculling and Sweep Rowing and High Performance Rowing Camp.

June 18 – July 13, 2018
Accommodates one, two, three or four weeks’ participation.

Miami Beach Rowing Club (MBRC) is ready to challenge rowers to discover their potential in both sweep and sculling. The camp is designed to:

  • Teach more refined and effective technique with advanced drills and workouts
    to more experienced rowers;
  • Discuss mental strategies of racing & training in order to improve performance on race day;
  • Establish strength & flexibility programs for those wishing to take their rowing to the next level.

All boys and girls entering the 6th-12th grades and interested in joining the tradition of MBRC in the fall are welcome to join us for our four-week program.  (Rowers also have the option of joining us for any one-, two-, or three-week period within those four weeks, although we recommend that any rower who plans to compete in the 2018 – 2019 school year complete our entire four-week program.)

The camp will be held at one of the most beautiful rowing facilities in the country, the Miami Beach Watersports Center located on the calm waters of Indian Creek in Miami Beach. During the sessions, the MBRC summer camp crews will have full and exclusive use of the state-of-the-art facility and be coached by former elite-level rowers and coaches from around the world.

Summer camp is open for four weeks (June 18 – July 13, 2018) and accommodates any combination of one, two, three, or four weeks participation.  The camp schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to noon.  MBRC camp rowers will emerge with more fitness, strength, and effective rowing technique, which will give them an advantage going into their fall season, or beginning as novice rowers.
