2016 Southern Erg Sprints Indoor Competition

February 13th, 2016 at Melbourne, FL

On Saturday February 13 the club participated in the 33rd Annual Southern Sprints Indoor Rowing Competition.

This year marked another massive event, with over 1,400 athletes racing in just under 1900 seats.
MBRC won Second Place in overall Club Points and had many highlights during the day, including the following:

– Luis Amaro won 1st place on Adaptive Men 1,000m (Arms/Shoulders)
– Helman Roman won 1st place on Adaptive Men 1,000m (Trunk/Arms)
– Gabrielle Amato won 1st on Girls 7th & 8th Grade
– On HS Flyweight Men Charlie Israel won 1st place, Jules Kramer 2nd place and Hunter Shanahan 3rd place
– MBRC Turbo Team: A. Martinez, J. Kramer, H. Shanahan and C. Israel won 2nd place on HS LtWt Men’s Relay
– Bella Larder won 1st place on HS Novice Women
– Alejandra Alonso won 2nd place on Open/College Woman
